Commissioning
Our client led the commissioning of a county wide Community Equipment Service on behalf of six Unitary Authorities and two Primary Care NHS Trusts. They required a joint commissioning Manager to lead on the tendering and commissioning of this multi million pound service.
The Process
Veritas’ experienced Community Equipment Service specialists worked directly with all eight organisations to ensure that we fully understood their objectives. We worked with multi agency nursing and Allied Health staff, General Practitioners, Service Users, Carers, Care Organisations, Third Sector organisations and Senior Management leading on consultation and the development of a Section 75 Pooled Budget Agreement and detailed Service Specification, whilst supporting their Legal and Contracting Departments to draw up a contractual agreement.
As a key player in the commissioning process, our consultant chaired and/or contributed to several partnership strategic and operational groups to lead on the development of operational policies, procedures and workflows essential to the successful establishment and operation of the service.
The Outcome
Veritas led the successful commissioning, procurement and tender of the county wide Community Equipment Service supporting the successful bidder through the implementation of the service.
We were instrumental in securing the integration into the Community Equipment Service of several additional services and work streams facilitating the growth of the service and achieving substantial efficiency savings across both health and social care sectors.
