Veritas was contacted by a Community Equipment Service Department Lead to redesign the service warehouse and provide storage solutions for their Community Equipment Service. Following a review of the existing storage arrangements, our consultants drew up designs which maximised storage efficiency whilst ensuring health and safety at work was uncompromised.
A contractor was commissioned to install the racking and storage solutions recommended by our consultants, who, in turn, assisted with the installation process. Upon completion of the installation, we led a team of service staff in reconfiguring the storage of all stock in a logical, safe and tidy manner with regularly used stock lines located close to the loading bay and infrequently used stock lines located to the rear of the warehouse.
The redesigned storage facilities have significantly improved productivity whilst reducing manual handling requirements.
